Abstract

This article takes its starting in a desire to promote a democratization of the development and application of computer technology in working life. The article contains three proposals for how system designers can support the employees, the weak part where resources are concerned in this context. Main emphasis is put on the neglected design activity: generation visions. The article will discuss the question: to what extent is it possible to plan systematic generation of visions, thus giving the employees the opportunity - on their own terms - to clarify and promote ideas for employing computer technology in the working process?
